We only introduce parents to babysitters and other house hold helps, the rest is left to you. If you are looking for occasional babysitting, regular after school care or live in nanny, we at Sitterdirect aim to be your first port of call.
2. Is membership/registration free?
Babysitters and other household helps do not have to pay to register or use the site.
Parents have a choice of membership options from 1 Month (£13) 2 Months (£22) and 12 Months (£72).
3. Do you screen babysitters or nannies?
We do not screen babysitters or nannies. We do NOT check babysitters or other household helps references, qualifications or certifications. At Sittersdirect we believe that parents are the only one in the best position to know what's best for their children. However Sittersdirect do recommend some vital steps [not limited to these] which will be a guide in the hiring process and will also help in arriving at the right decision. NEVER hire someone without following a screening procedure first.
Six Steps YOU MUST TAKE before hiring a candidate:
- Step One: Read babysitter and nannies online profile and contact them when you are satisfied to take things to the next level.
- Step Two: Conduct a face-to-face interview with your favourite babysitter /nannies.
- Step Three: Check and cross check references and qualifications.
- Step Four: Request a police check or CRB disclosure.
- Step Five: Check Photo Identifications.
- Step Six: Ask for contact numbers preferably LANDLINE telephone numbers.

5. How do Sittersdirect get your babysitters, nannies and other household helps?

No. Sittersdirect does not charge babysitters, nannies or other household help to place their profiles on the site.
8. Must I include my contact and personal details when registering?
Yes we ask you to provide your contact and personal details. This allows us to provide you with improved services and to assist Parents, babysitters and nannies to search for and find each other. We may also hold information for business management and marketing purposes.
9. I am a babysitter and want to post my profile on the site what do I do?
If you are a babysitter or other house hold helps and would like parents to contact you simply register with the site and post your profile. It’s FREE.
10. What is the babysitter or nannies "profile"?
It provides information to parents about the postcode of the area you live in, years of experience, ages of children the carer is comfortable with, qualifications etc. The section "Brief statement about yourself" is a free text field where the carer can share a little about themselves, who they are and what they are interested in. (NOTE: Babysitters and Nannies: please do not enter your address or home phone number into this section. Only include these in other fields when prompted).
11. How do I contact a candidate?
Once you are registered, and successfully purchased a membership access that suites you, this will give you full, unlimited access to contact details of candidates willing to work in your local area.
12. Are parent membership fees recurring?
NO.Parents membership fees is not recurring. At the expiry of your membership option on the site, parents will have to renew thier current membership or choose a new membership option.
13. What payment methods do you offer?
We use PayPal as our payment system. Creating a PayPal account is easy and free. Once set up, you can pay your membership fee via bank account, credit or debit card.

Yes, babysitters or other house hold helps registered with www.sittersdirect.com will disclose whether or not he or she already holds a CRB disclosure or Police Check.You can refine your search to see results for candidates with a CRB disclosure or Police Check; always ask to see the original copies of documents when you conduct the interview.
